Red Mask is another genius creation of Direk Rico G. (Red Mask prods) and Direk Avid Liongoren (Short Film) . It is a short film, an idea of DRG. Red Mask is divided into three parts. Each part has a really nice story and for sure can relate to millions of teens. The whole story is about a teen couple who tries to revive a relationship that is going down. Julie in the story wanted to break up with Elmo because he was really childish.
The first part is about Julie going to Elmo’s house to finally end their relationship. She went to Elmo’s house with the toys and stuffs that Elmo gave her. While Elmo here is shocked and didn’t know what was happening. Because he was childish, maybe he did not understand the situation.

The first picture shown above is a screencap of what happened in the short film. While the second picture shown above is their prod after the first part was presented, singing All I Have by JLo and LL Cool J. “All my pride is all I have (pride is what you had baby girl I’m what you have)”, says the song. :)
The second part is about reminiscing what and how things happened. How it led them to ending up having a relationship. It is a flashback. So much things happened here. I mean, all that Elmo did will surely make a girl happy and say “awwwwe”. When I was watching all things that Elmo did to impress Julie Anne, I was like “awwwe, when will I have a suitor like that?”. Hahaha. Elmo did what a girl really wants. That’s why Julie is really lucky here. And I loved the unique style of courting the girl and how he made Julie answer him. <3

I told you his style was unique. Look at the first picture. I mean, every girl would want that. Hahaha. And the second photo shown is when they sang after the second part was shown. They sang Knock You Down by Keri Hilson, Kanye West, and Ne-Yo. “Sometimes love comes around, and it knocks you down just get back up when it knocks you down”. :)

So here’s my favorite part, the third and last part. The third part is about Julie trying to say sorry to Elmo for what she has done and is trying to revive the relationship that went down. But, no matter what she does, it seems like the power of love didn’t work. She wanted to throw a paper plane to Elmo with a message inside saying sorry but she didn’t have enough courage, wanted to say sorry to Elmo through chat but was afraid to do it. So now, Julie went out with a friend and Elmo saw them. But Elmo was clueless that Julie met with her guy friend because his friend wanted to introduce Julie to his girlfriend. They both wore yellow, that’s why Elmo thought that they were together. (Elmo’s color was red). So on Elmo’s way home he was full of emotions and decided to sell all his toys.
But in the end, Julie came to Elmo’s house to say sorry. But when she arrived at Elmo’s house, all she saw was “Garage Sale”, “Must Go”, and all of Elmo’s toys. He even included his skateboard which he used when he said hello to Julie when he saw her studyimg outside her house. (It is in Red Mask 2). So Julie did the same thing to the skateboard. She attatched a sticknote saying “I am sorry”. As it reached Elmo’s foot, Elmo read it and looked at Julie. Julie came closer and said sorry, then removed Elmo’s hat. After she removed Elmo’s hat, she replaced it with the red mask. She kissed Elmo through the mask. Elmo then removed his mask and here’s what happened:
“Kilig” ayt? Hahaha. The second photo shows their performance after the thrid part was shown. They sang Got Your Back by Keri Hilson and T.I. “When were high, when were low, but I promise I will never let you go. Said I got, I got, I got your back boy (you got my back right?)”. :)
MY THOUGHTS ABOUT THIS SEQUEL:
First of all, it is really genius. It did not only show drama and kilig but also helped these two young artists showcase their talents. It is one way of sharing the talent God gave them the Party Pilipinas way. I think it also somehow showed that not all young relationships don’t last. It showed that even teenagers can handle situations like this. I guess it changed other teen’s thinking about young love and somehow maybe encouraged them to do the right thing when they experience problems about love. I also think that it inspired other teen’s relationship. It proved that even teens can revive a relationship that is on the rocks through their own way.
Elmo and Julie did a really nice job here, as well as DRG. I can really say that this is the reason why I transfered to Party Pilipinas. And believe it or not, many people out there transfered to Party Pilipinas because of JuliElmo. Before Red Mask 1 was shown, I was like “…..” in every JuliElmo prod. But then this sequel came. This is one of the most genius creations of DRG ever created.
I blogged about this because this is how I miss them. I miss their sweetness here especially with their prods. Because now, it seems like Elmo is not lively when he’s performing with Julie. But, I understand that Party Pilipinas or the GMA network can’t make an action right now because of their different priorities. Julie is still studying while Elmo still has “Bantatay”. I just hope that the network will not take these two for granted. I’d be expecting a lot from them this summer. :)
